Main Street Project Update, April 25, 2025

Construction Update
The intersection of Main/Church is now closed while the contractor replaces the water mains and installs sewer services.
Sewer work at the Main/Union intersection is nearing completion. Surface restoration and paving of gravel areas is scheduled for the week of 4/28.
Work on the underground stormwater tanks located near the Pine and Main intersection has been completed.
Water main replacement and temporary water main work will continue through April.

Main St/Pine St intersection:
Full closure beginning Monday, April 28
Pine Street: King Street to Main Street
Pine Street between King Street and Main Street will remain open, but restricted to local traffic only. Through-traffic will be prohibited.

Traffic Update
Which streets are closed?
Main St: Church Street intersection to S. Winooski Ave is fully closed to
vehicle traffic.
Main/Pine intersection: starting as early as 4/28 this intersection is scheduled to close 24/7 to vehicles for approximately 3 weeks. Bike/Ped access will be maintained for at least 3 legs of the intersection.
Main/St Paul intersection has been reopened to traffic
Main/S. Winooski intersection is open to North/South traffic as well as local access east toward S. Union (no through traffic)
Main/S. Union intersection is anticipated to reopen to restricted traffic flow on Monday, 4/28. Eastbound (right hand) turns from S. Union on to Main St only.
Timeframes for closures are subject to change. Updates will be provided as frequently as possible.
