Main Street Construction is Underway!
The City will provide frequent updates to keep the public informed about construction progress, parking restrictions, lane closures, and alternative routes to avoid active construction areas.
Update March 29, 2024
The intersection of Pine and Main is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, 4/2. Once reopened, the intersection of St. Paul and Main will be closed until further notice.
Update March 22, 2024
Intersections of Main Street and Pine Street and Maple Street/Church Street remain closed. An additional 85 parking spaces are available at the Courthouse Plaza parking garage on S. Winooski Ave.
Update March 15, 2024
Work continues on the intersection of Pine and Main, and the intersection of Church and Maple. An additional 85 parking spaces have been opened at the Capitol Plaza parking garage for the city rate of $1.50/hr.
Update March 8, 2024
The Pine/Main and Church/Maple intersections remain closed for sewer work. A total of 85 parking spaces have been made available to the public at City rates at the Capital Plaza parking garage.
