Main Street Project Update, May 9, 2025

Construction Update
The intersection of Main/Church is now closed while the contractor replaces the water mains and installs sewer services.
Water main replacement and temporary water main work will continue through May.
Excavation of the roadway subbase along Main St. between Pine and St. Paul is continuing.

NEARBY PROJECT INFORMATION
CHAMPLAIN PARKWAY TRAFFIC HIGHLIGHTS:
Main/Pine Intersection: Monday – Wednesday (5/12-5/14) closed 24/7 tovehicles. Thursday – Sunday (5/15-5/18), partially reopen.
King/Pine Intersection: Lane reductions and alternating one-way traffic.
Pine St: Main St to King St: Lane shifts and pedestrian detours will be in effect. Restricted to local vehicle traffic only. Block accessible via
King St only.
Maple/Pine Intersection: Lane reductions and alternating one-way traffic.
Howard/Pine Intersection: Potential for instances of lane reductions and alternating one-way traffic.

Traffic Update
Where is Construction Occuring?
Main St: Church St through S. Winooski Ave Intersection:
Fully closed to vehicle traffic.
Main/S. Winooski Intersection:
Will fully close to traffic on Monday, 5/12 for likely two weeks with a priority to partially reopen on weekends.
Main/Church Intersection:
Partially open to vehicluar traffic until mid-week when
it fully closes.
Main/Pine Intersection:
Monday – Wednesday (5/12-5/14) closed 24/7 to vehicles. Thursday – Sunday (5/15-5/18), partially reopen.
Main St: Pine to St. Paul:
Will remain closed and reopen mid-week.
Timeframes for closures are subject to change. Updates will be provided as frequently as possible.
