Construction Update
Work on Main Street is scheduled to begin on Monday, 2/5 between the intersections of South Winooski and South Union.
Main Street will be closed to all non-local traffic on this block for a minimum of two weeks. The contractor will begin excavation for, and installation of new sewer infrastructure.
Traffic Update
Main Street will be closed to all non-local traffic on this block for a minimum of two weeks. Restoration of east-bound traffic is anticipated during the third and fourth week of work, and full restoration of two-way traffic is anticipated after four weeks.
The sidewalk on the southern side of Main Street will be open entirely, with sections on the north side being closed throughout certain portions of work. Pedestrian detours will be in place for any impacts to the sidewalk.
Parking Update
The public parking lot at the northeast corner of Main Street and S. Winooski will be closed until further notice.
