Sewer work along Church Street has progressed into the intersection of Church and Main.

Temporary waterline work within the St. Paul and Main Street intersection will be ongoing next week.

Please see the parking and traffic sections below for more information on impacts.

See below in the  Nearby Project section for information about upcoming work in the intersection of College and Church.

Traffic Update

The Main and St. Paul intersection will be closed starting 9/3

The Main and Church intersection is closed.

Church Street from King to Main Street remains closed.

Work to ensure fire access along Main Street between Church St. and South Winooski will consist of removing parking meters, bike racks, lights, and other furnishings from the north side of the road. An eight foot widening of the sidewalk will allow for a fire lane, and limited/flagger controlled delivery lane for businesses.

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained around work zones. Follow designated pedestrian signage.

Parking Update

Additional public parking is available at the Courthouse Plaza garage

Parking at the Courthouse Plaza Garage (South Winooski Ave. entrance only) continues to be available at the City rate of $1.50/hour and space is still highly available.

City rates are only available on the level that is accessed from the South Winooski Ave. entrance.

Public parking on the surface level (access from Church Street) is available nights/weekends and is managed by Unified Parking Partners and follows
their rate structure.

Some public parking has been restored on the lot located at the corner of
Main St. and S. Winooski Ave.

Parking directly in and adjacent to work zones will be impacted.

There will be no parking on the Flynn (south) side of Main St. between St. Paul Street and Church St.

Please follow signage for access to local businesses and alternate business parking.
